As far as I can gather, these things are reliable, available in manual, can be had with a supercharger (for a whip-whopping 210HP!), cost a little more than a 1996 T100 SR5 in excellent condition, about as fuel inefficient, but are 8 years newer. I think they look pretty good and are still “pickup-sized” and not TRUHHHK-sized. It’s basically Nissan’s answer to the crew-cab Tacoma of that year — with an actual 6' bed.
Well anyway, it was just a thought.

I’ve always thought these were neat even though the SC motor only lasted a few years before it was replaced with the more powerful and probably more efficient VQ40 in the next generation.

My brother-in-law has a manual Frontier. I’ve borrowed it on occasion. Good truck.

A relative of mine had the 4 door with the long bed. It was a surprisingly large truck. Very long and hard to park in the city. Solid truck though. She never had any problems with it.

Also, having ridden in the back seat of one of these they have less space than a first gen double cab. Those square windows are tiny..
Do want four spoke wheels - they remind me of the old sr5 wheel.
